Meet Amy Patton I am a native Houstonian and a lifelong resident of the Houston area. I grew up in Northwest Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston. My knowledge and excitement of the Houston area will be evident to you from the first time you meet me and it will continue throughout the process of buying, selling and beyond closing on your home. I have been recognized as a top producer at my RE/MAX office 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. RE/MAX of Texas has awarded me with the 100% Club Reward for sales production for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. I have been honored to have been recognized and certified as a “Top Production Realtor” by the Houston Association of Realtor for 2006 and 2007. Top Producing realtor are those who aspire to the highest ethical standards and whose production ranks among the highest number of transactions or dollar volume of buyer side transactions within Houston Association of Realtor’s 24,000 members. Although I am very proud of my achievement awards, I am most proud of the relationships I have maintained with my clients by providing excellent customer service. My personal interests include spending time with my husband and two children, traveling, shopping and visiting with friends and family. The key to my success is a genuine interest in people and recognition that client satisfaction is always first priority. I truly love my job!

Disclosure Laws >What Sellers Might Disclose
Most states require a home seller to provide the buyer with some type of disclosure form. What might the seller have to disclose?
A Residential Property Disclosure Form requires the home seller to disclose facts about the home's heating, wiring or plumbing systems, including any defects that may exist, such as leaks in the roof or cracks in the foundation. If something in your home is not working properly or needs repair, you will need to either fix it or disclose the material defect to the prospective buyer. There are other disclosure forms, unique to each local area, that require sellers to disclose negative environmental factors or local building code issues. A lead-based paint disclosure form is required for homes built prior to 1978.
State legislatures and courts all over the country have passed laws regarding concealing defects from an agent or buyer. Ask your real estate agent about your obligations as a seller regarding disclosure.
